On This Day in Early America

March 5, 1770 - Five Colonists are killed in the Boston Massacre when British troops fire on a mob.
March 6, 1778 - Searching for the Northest Passage, English Explorer James Cook arrives off the coast of present-day Oregon.
March 6, 1836 - The Alamo fell. All 189 men were massacred in their quest for freedom, liberty, and independence. Please take time today to remember these men and the sacrifice that they made to make Texas a free nation. Also ponder that one day you may have to face overwhelming odds and make the decision to stand and fight with honor or retreat into servitude. At some point we all have our Alamo.
