From: Gene Karl Date: Thu Aug 17, 2000 7:22am Subject: There has been gunfire. Partially Paraphrased Notes from Alex Jones InfoWars Radio Broadcast, Wednesday, August 16, 2000 of: http://www.infowars.com/ The wording is fairly accurate, but not exact: 4 different loads of listeners showed up throughout last night. 5 different news agencies. People from all over Texas came. Alex criticized an email that said there was nothing happening. There has been gunfire. Government agents have been seen out in the woods. Yesterday morning, Paul Michael Mueller, channel 56 NBC affiliate out of Tyler, Texas and others have said that the police have told them that they are moving in. Alex was on the property (47 acres along the river.) If Americans would stop their bickering and just show up in mass, then people would know that they just want to be left alone. Why is the government so concerned about 10 adults and 7 grand-children? Somebody from the county pulled up in front of their property with their trailer and put it on fire to let the Gray's know that something like that could happen to them just like at Waco. At the bare minimum it is a state level, probably the federal level. We need the listeners to get out there in shifts, at least 15 to 20 of you at one time. It's hwy 31 east from central Texas, going into east Texas. Go to Trinidad. Take farm road 274 left, 3 to 4 miles, then you come to a black top road, turning off to your left. There is a sign there for some restaurant. There is no restaurant, but there is a 2 story building. You turn left right there. You drive down. It turns into dirt and a couple of hundred yards. Keep bearing to your left and right there on the right you'll see the Gray's gate. It says, 'Resistance to Tyrants is Obedience to God'. Last night we had a problem. Our loving friends in the federal government have militarized state police and they are harassing a family in east Texas and we are going to stand against it............. John Parsons, reporter for the Allis County Press: "... he and his family have pretty much been isolated now for several months. There was some bogus charges, or there are some bogus charges, a couple of charges against Joe for 'assaulting a police officer' and 'disarming a police officer', both of which are bogus. And it started appearing as though yesterday they were going to move in because they did cut off electricity to the family, and so all indications were that they were moving in. They moved in an observation or reconnaissance trailer in a field across from their place and what it appears to be a command trailer in as well. As you saw last night Alex, they had a remote video camera and a transmitter which they were using, and when they left there today they unfortunately didn't get to take their camera. It appeared as though maybe a a steer or something had hooked that thing on its horns and drugged it out into the road, and I guess it was damaged. It looked like it had been run over or something. I just don't know what the situation was, but in any case. So fortunately, you were able to see that. They have moved that reconnaissance trailer that was out there. I can give you a report in a couple of days as to whether they have moved that trailer which was back up in the trees. The electricity now is still disconnected. Alex: And some people are claiming that it was because they did not pay their bill. John: Well that was not exactly the case. They did not pay their bill, oh quite some time back, for an entirely different reason. They had it connected up, but, they got word from a person that actually works for that electric company and this person told them that they were told that the Texas Rangers wanted the electricity off because so that when they went in there they didn't have to worry about high voltage because they disconnected it at a pole about a half mile down the road. Alex: Now again you're a writer for the Allis County Press and you are also friends of the Grays, and you went in with us last night. John: That's true. Alex: And they are very honest decent good people and all this harrassment started 2 years ago with them refusing to have driver's license, believing the system is corrupt, and again we see this government is not concerned about national security issues and the sell out of our sovereignty. They are more concerned with little Christian communities wanting to be left alone. We seen some demonization in the press, the Houston Chronicle, calling it a 'compound', and then we have a 'bunker', they just constructed one and it has a sign on top of it that says, 'KIDS' inside, so that when the adults are up on the surface fighting off any attack which they swear to do, Mr. Gray has sworn to do along with his family, the children will be safe. So get it through your heads state police, federally controlled, we saw your surveillance equipment, we got video of the vin numbers and the names and the federal operation codes, if you torch those children, everybody's going to know that there was nothing in there but children and that you've killed them. John: Well these people, the Gray's, are as dead straight of people as you'd ever want to know. They are the kind of people that everyone would like to know because if they tell you something, you know it's a fact. They don't lie, even if it might hurt you or something, they are still going to tell you the truth. And these are the same people, again they say, 'well the Bible says such and such so that is what we'll do, the constitution says a particular thing so that's how we're going to live'. And of course that's the very thing that put them into the position that they are in now, unfortunately like many other things, everything is back to front and upside down now. Alex: Now when we pulled in last night there were black sedans and black vehicles driving behind us and past us there on the black top road there, and on the dirt road we saw police cars out on the main road, parked in the woods, we saw a police car as we drove in. All of this is happening out there, and I know you want to talk about this John, but some people, you've even talked to, are 'well there's no seige out there, there's no problem', even though its in the newspapers, even though the news media was lined up out there with news cameras last night. Paul Michael Mueller of channel 56 NBC from Tyler, openly said that Trinidad police told him that they were planning to move in, that morning, I got it on video tape them saying that. But I set there and I told one writer, that I respect, I told him this information, he goes, 'well the sheriff tells me that's not true'. 'Well the Texas Rangers tell me that's not true. They tell me that they didn't turn the power off.' When they are out there with surveillance cameras and command posts and running around in the woods and somebody 5 nights ago shot a shotgun at Mr. Gray and he heard the pellets go through the trees. And then last night there was some gun fire out there that we won't go into details on because the Grays don't want to, but is this all confirmed sir, you being a writer... John: Everything is confirmed. If I tell you anything, I'm going to be able to back it up with facts, with video, with anything that I do, and of course, as you know, some of the things which we discussed last night, you yourself were able to video them. And as you just pointed out as we drove in there last night at one thirty, one o'clock or one thirty, whatever it was in the morning, we were followed by four sedans, all very similar to one another at maybe 30 or 40 feet behind us. Alex: Black sedans. John: And the road that we were on, the small road that we were on does not go anywhere but back, except back to the main road. Alex: It's a dead end dirt road. John: Absolutely. And so we were definitely being followed, and I got word today from a grocery store nearby there, that of course, they told us that they knew everything that was goin on and they said that some of the feds had been coming into their grocery store and buying things. So anybody that says that the feds were not in there or anything else, are unfortunately just misinformed. Alex: Or they are a little something different, but we won't get into that John. John: Yeah, but I can't document that. So I can't say that. But I can document what I do know and I do know that the person that's in charge of the Dallas FBI office attempted to get in touch with Mr. Gray to negotiate something, but Mr. Gray does not feel comfortable negotiating with the FBI. Alex: Alright stay right there. John Parsons, writer with the Allis County Press, we went inside together last night, myself, him and Mike Hansen. We'll be back. ............ Alex:...... nearby Waxahachie, from where the Gray's are, right outside of Trinidad, between Trinidad and a little town of Tool. And John, I mean, Mr. Gray doesn't cry wolf, when he calls folks out there, this is after years of harrassment, DPS holed back in the woods, putting that command trailer out there, that surveillance trailer out front, people sneaking around in the woods, 4 nights ago, 5 nights ago, somebody firing a shotgun at him, a year ago they burned that trailer out front of his house, no one did anything about it. I mean these people have put up with alot and I don't think people realize these folks aren't going to be like the Davidians and stop shooting once it starts. I think the feds are in deep trouble, or anybody that thinks they are going in there. John: Well all of this harrassment has been going on for quite some time, and in fact, obviously this is not the first attempt at surveillance or reconnaissance of their property. There is a large red barn just adjacent to their property and I went down there about 2 weeks ago now, there were a number of officers or whatever in the barn down there and I went down there with the intent to just walk in the barn and interview the officers. Well by the time I got down there, they had put some equipment in a little what used to be a weight room, some surveillance equipment, but they were not there all the time. Now I understand that they were there the first couple of days 24 hours a day, but I was also informed that the barn was full of rats and fleas and everything else and so it is possible that those who were in it decided that that's not where they wanted to be at night. Alex: I hear ya. And they moved out into the woods across the road there. I saw the command vehicle. They're swarming the entire area, why do you think that Paul Michael Mueller from the NBC affiliate channel 56 there in Tyler, I mean, he openly told me right there on video camera that these folks, the local police have said that it was a multi-agency task force, he didn't use the word MJTF, he just said, multi-agency from all over the state, and he even mentioned yes, that the feds are supposedly involved, of course, because they always are. And then other people say, 'oh no, there's nothing going on out there.' We go out there. We get inside there. Other listeners show up. We let folks know that we are not going to allow this to happen. They obviously back off. At the bare minimum. And it's just so sad, that da.. I guess people want to cop out, at least some people because they don't want to be forced to take action. They just want to talk. John: Well, I don't know if it's intentional or not. And perhaps it isn't, but sometimes, when something happens, alot of people band together and they have a cause to rally around, but as soon as the cause extends to any length of time, unfortunately, we tend to get kind of scattered out and we don't stick together, and we do need to stick together with a united front. It doesn't mean that we all have exactly the same opinions or think that we should address the situation in the same way, but we need to appear to have a united front, because certainly our adversary has a united front in all appearances, now in fact we know that they probably don't.. Alex: Well Mr. Parsons, it doesn't matter frankly what you or I think should be done on this, certainly it does on the outside, but not on the inside, you know the Grays made it clear that in on no uncertain terms 'we will stand and fight to protect this property and our children' and that's just the end of the road for them, they are ready to die. John: Yes. And when you say this, I want people to understand too that these people are not what you call fatalistic or desiring death or anything else because quite honestly you know, and I know them quite well, as you know, and I've discussed several times with them this whole thing and we would love to live to be able to fight together tomorrow so to speak, but on the other hand, they believe so strongly in their cause that they are willing to give their life for their cause. I think we've probably heard about that from people a couple of hundred years ago or so. Alex: Yeah, their backs are up against the wall is what Mr. Gray told me and okay we'll be back in just one minute with our guest local newspaper writer, John Parsons. ............. Alex: John, I want to make it clear to everybody, that I swore, 'No More Wacos' of innocent people, and I've interviewed the Grays, one of the few radio shows that they've been on, because we all have mutual friends with them, folks that know them, and we sent a camera crew out there 2 years ago when this was happening, so we know the Grays, you know them better than I. And so many people that I know, good patriotic conservative, libertarians, call local sheriff's departments, call the feds, the feds lie, and then the newspaper writers run off and report this garbage. And I really need to give you the number for one particular writer who is buying some of their propaganda because you need to talk to him as a fellow journalist John. How can we convince people to start looking at the facts that we have and not the fantasy of the federal government, just like at Waco? John: Boy, I don't know. I guess we have always been struggling with that question in regards to alot of things for several years. But I think we are making some real head way. People like you are getting out there and getting a larger audience then we have ever had before. And so as this increases, we need the mainstream less and less and we need their lies and misrepresentations absolutely less. And so in answer to your question, I think that the thing we need to do is increase the information sources to get this information out. Alex: Yeah, I guess I need to hire one more computer person because here we are so busy today I haven't even had time to get more of the photos and streaming video up of what was going on last night.... But that surveillence camera, not just the police swarming the area, that really said it all. Special operations, covert operations, we saw that federal code word on there as well that I recognize. John: That's the case, and the fact that it was not some local thing to begin with. I talked to a TV station and described the thing and they said that 'oh that's real high tech cause we don't even have any thing like that.' And the fact that there was a label on there describing it as from Marble Falls or something or another. That tells me that it was not county equipment for sure. Alex: Oh, well we know that the DPS is involved and the Texas Rangers. They were quoted last week, what was it, the 7th in the Houston Chronicle. So.. John: Well one of the local sheriffs also was quoted in a local paper in that area and said that they were turning the thing over to the feds. So if they say that the feds were not involved, then say 'well perhaps you should contact the local sheriff there because he is quoted by the local paper as saying that he is going to turn it over to the feds.' Alex:...Which paper was that, did you get a copy of it? John: I think I have a copy of it and I think it was in the Athens paper. Alex: The Athens Herald? Athens..? John: Yes I think I have a copy of that and he's quoted as saying they are just going to turn it over to the feds. ............. Alex: If you would like to get involved on the air in the situation with the Grays out in east Texas, another Waco heating up, 10 adults, 7 children, on 47 acres, prime real estate overlooking the Trinity River. 800-259-9xxx. We are talking with the newspaper reporter John Parsons, friends with the Grays. I had a chance to meet John out at Waco as we were dedicating the new memorial church. He came out with his camera and was taking some photos. What a gentleman. And he has been bringing the Grays food the last few months since they have been isolated these last few months unable to leave their homes. And Mr. Gray was a hard working man with his sons and other people building houses all over the county all over that area of Texas, and buying property and doing quite well. And we are just not going to allow this to happen to him. And the demonization is intensifying though. John,.... any other calls that need to be hit upon here? John: Well, I would like to say that if the feds have backed off, and it appears as though they may have, then I feel like it was because of the massive response of the patriot community. This was not due to us going to the mainstream media or anything. But after I got a call yesterday at about 4 oclock from Alicia Gray, by 6 pm that same day, this was all over the United States and by 10 oclock last night I needed a phone bank. And I know that these people were making calls to some of the right places like Bush's campaign headquarters in various states, so that's part of... I think what helped changed this situation to what it could have been and I hope that it stays that way, and I do want to say that although we have gained kind of a temporary reprieve here, the situation is far from being resolved and... Alex: Well it's almost like some so-called patriots don't want Americans to have victories or something. I mean here they are, here's major news reporters that the local affiliates say yeah they are in town yeah they are going to storm it this morning. Trinidad police are telling us this. It's in the newspaper that's its been handed over to the feds. There's surviellance cameras, black sedans, and minivans, and trucks driving all over, people sneaking around in the woods, someone firing a shotgun at Mr. Gray, 5 days ago, shots fired last night, Mr. Gray doesn't want us to go into any details on that, and I don't frankly know what I saw transpire, but I can't believe that we were in the middle of that. There is so much happening here. It is so surreal. I'm just going to have to get this information, the video up on the web for people to see. John: Alex, it's been my experience that there is alot of really lazy reporters now and I even hesitate to call them reporters because the only thing that they report is what somebody else has already written. And that's true in both the patriot community as well as mainstream sort of thing and they get their information not from the source, but they just copy what somebody else says. And they're too lazy to go out there and really dig and find out what the story is and if it requires going through records or whatever they have to do, unfortunately they are just too lazy to do it. Alex: Well how could anybody believe the local sheriff's department when we are out there with shots being fired and radio controlled telephoto video digital cameras and black sedans all over the place and local reporters saying, yeah. I mean why do you think there were 5 different news outfits there, they were there before I even found out put the word out. They got it from the cops. John: That's right. That's exactly the case, but they just don't want to find out and they don't have a questioning mind. The information comes in and they don't say.. now wait a minute.. I wonder why... and that's the bottom line. Alex: And meanwhile we've got people literally stalking the Grays. We've got 7 children. They just built this bunker and it's for the kids. John: The children are well taken care of. They look healthy. They sat in my lap and they looked like they were happy children. They do not look frightened or depressed or anything else. Alex: B.L. in Texas you are on the air. BL: Mike Hansen called me today and said that they can use some groceries out there today so we went out there and took them some groceries.... There were some reporters out there but there was no overt presence of law enforcement. Alex: Oh they have pulled out as of this morning and last night. BL: Well what the Grays have told me is they are seeing flashes of optics in the woods but they are staying back out of sight. Alex: I forgot the part where I was getting out of the car with a cell phone doing a report and got hit in the face with a lazer, go ahead. BL: Yes, evidently they have pulled back their perimeter, and they are still under surveillance, they are staying out of sight basically, and there is a report that a helicopter landed a couple of clicks down river and is still there, I don't have any details on that....... Alex: Alright folks, it's in Trinidad, that's the biggest town nearby. Let's say you are going east on Hwy 31, you take a left on Farm Road, that's FM 274, again left and you are going east on Hwy 31, a left on Farm Road 274, 3 to 4 miles down and you take a left on a black top road... what's the name of that road again? John: Old River Road. And just before you get to it on the RHS, there is a small church, I think an Assembly of God church, and the first road on your left past the church will be Old River Road, and it is marked. Alex: And then just right there on your right you'll see a sign that says 'Resistance to Tyrants is Obedience to God' and that's what it is all about. BL: I got to meet Mr. and Mrs. Gray and evidently the 2 oldest sons. Very nice people. Mrs. Gray told me something I found a little disturbing. Since they have been demonized by the news media like in the Houston paper and the Athens Review this last Sunday, their friends don't bring them groceries any more. They were very glad to get the groceries today. I thought that was pretty shabby. They were very nice people. Alex: They are stuck on the property. They are not going to leave the property, but folks you need to help them out. John: You said that they had seen some flashes of light and I can verify that because as I was going in there this afternoon, I could see a flashing light along the edge of a clearing where a power line runs across the pasture there, the type of light that you might see on top of a helicopter or something like that, it was not there all the time, but it was in the area of where they supposedly moved their equipment to. Alex: That surveillance camera was something else, it may have been a $20 thousand camera. BL: The law enforcement are still in the area, it still is not over. The Grays are very nice people and I'd be happy to do anything for them that I could..... Alex: Remember Waco was a precedent as we stood by and allowed a mass murder. If we allow more Wacos to occur in America, the next time it will even be more easier to let it happen. John: If you can take them food, don't take them any thing that requires refrigeration.
