Subject: Re: YOU Should BE SCARED Date: Sat, 26 Feb 2000 00:26:55 -0800 From: "Cliff Hume" To: GLANCEBAK@aol.com To P.M.'s and M.P.'s, either democracy is very puzzling, the members are very stupid and brain-washed, or those we have been led to believe the we elected to office - are on the other side. If they are on the other side, the logical deduction is that they are traitors to their people and traitors to their country. Canada was a Monarchy, an evolutionary form of government which won a similar amount of freedom for the people as did the revolution for the Americans. Pierre Trudeau, the author of, Federalism and the French Canadians, and who wrote on page 127 of that book that: "Federalism must be welcomed as a valuable tool which permits dynamic parties to plant socialist governments in certain provinces, from which the seed of radicalism can slowly spread." was largely responsible for our plunge into democracy. Pierre mustn't be given full credit for this catastrophe because many others have been actively involved in the muddying of the waters in order to help to bring about the destruction of a once relatively free nation. The government schools and the controlled media, taken over by the Rockefeller crowd and their tax-free foundations over one hundred years ago, were responsible for that, aided and abetted by their General Education Board. We now have almost total chaos and confusion built into the minds of large numbers of the general public who actually believe that all of the problems with the environment, such as water, air, soil, trees, social issues and all the rest, are responsible for what has been happening over the past many years. Such is not the case. It takes a little study and research to dig to the bottom of all of the dirty deeds, but a condensation of the cause is very well written up in the February 28, 2000 issue of the New American by Jane H. Ingraham. Even the Bible touches on that subject in First Timothy. It is not a mystery; it is just a simple scam which the perpetrators have hidden very well from public view. Our neighbours to the South had a Republic, and though they empty-headedly recite: "I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States and to the Republic for which it stands, etc.,etc., just turn to the person to the left or right of you after listening to them recite this pledge, and then tell the person you are from Canada and ask them what form of government they have. Nine chances out of ten, they will come back with i we have a Democracy. Reaching back into recent and ancient history to the brighter minds who were capable of learning from history, we can receive the illumination necessary to rectify our present and precarious plight. The Roman, Seneca, wrote: "Democracy is more cruel than wars or tyrants." Dr. Will Durant, quoting Cicero, said: "without checks and balances, monarchy becomes despotism, aristocracy becomes oligarchy, democracy becomes mob rule, chaos, and dictatorship." James Russell Lowell wrote: "Democracy gives every man the right to be his own oppressor." Thomas Babington Macauley said: "I have long been convinced that institutions purely democratic must, sooner or later, destroy liberty or civilization, or both." Ralph Waldo Emerson issued a prophetic warning when he stated: "Democracy becomes a government of bullies tempered by editors." Similarly, Oscar Wilde put it this way: "Democracy means simply bludgeoning of the people, by the people, for the people." The writer, G.K. Chesterton put his finger on the basic reasoning behind all continued efforts of the Communists to convert the U.S. republic into a democracy. "You can never have a revolution" he said, "in order to establish a democracy. You must have a democracy in order to have a revolution." We could quote for days from the shallow minds of the Mulroney, Reagan, Carter, Clark, Stanfield, Kennedy, Eisenhower, Woodrow Wilson, Roosevelt, Mackenzie King, Cretienne, types, all praising the 'virtues' of democracy, but look what it says in the 1928 U.S. Army Training Manual. Democracy: "A government of the masses. Authority derived through mass meetings or any form of 'direct' expression. Attitude toward property is communistic - negating property rights. Attitude toward law is that the will of the majority shall regulate, whether it be based upon deliberation or governed by passion, prejudice, and impulse, without restraint or regard to consequences. Results in demogogism, license, agitation, discontent, anarchy." From Brian Mulroney, Joe Clark, Jean Cretienne, wicked Willie and all the rest - we have democracy in a nut's shell. Yours very truly, Cliff Hume.
